New Macra Chair from Donegal
Killygordon farmer, Patrick Kelly, is the new Chairperson of Macra, the National farmers' organisation. Patrick was elected to the post at the Macra AGM which was held recently in Cork.
Donegal's Berkeley
Donegal punk trio Berkeley are currently on a UK tour. The band's debut album, 'Hope, Prayers And Bubblegum' was recorded in Chicago with producer Steve Albini and was released in March of this year. The band live and work in rural Donegal, citing their inspiration as McLusky, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Neil Young. The Band's forthcoming tour dates can be viewed on the Berkeley website.
Felim Egan

Janet Ross Exhibition
Donegal artist Janet Ross is currently exhibiting in the Spires Gallery, Omagh. These works are a departure from her figurative work and deal with small, domestic objects.
New Exhibition at The Workhouse, Dunfanaghy
Ian Gordon and Heidi Nguyen are currently exhibiting at the Workhouse, Dunfanaghy until June 21st. Both artists are widely respected in the Donegal arts community and both work in the open, painting the Donegal landscape in all its ethereal beauty. Not to be missed.

Féile Ealaíne an Eargail

The Eargail Arts Festival is a multi-disciplinary bilingual arts festival. Highlights include 'The Blind Fiddler' by Marie Jones. This is a funny and touching new play by award-winning playwright, Marie Jones. Directed by Ian McElhinney, 'Fiddler' has a brilliant live music score by Cathal Hayden and Mairtín O'Connor. A very strong cast cast includes Donegal's Frankie McCafferty and Dan Gordon. 'The Blind Fiddler' will be performed at An Grianan Theatre, Letterkenny from the 7th - 11th of July.

The Donegal Fiddler's Concert will be hosted by Altan's Mairead Ní Mhaonaigh at An Grianan Theatre, Letterkenny on July 15th.

Magee Bluestack Challenge
The Magee Bluestack Challenge Walk for Special Needs will take place on Saturday 26th July, 2003. The walk will start in Ardara, proceed to Glenties along the scenic Owenea River and on to the finishing point at Drimarone, a distance of approximately forty kilometres.
